ABOUT THE LEAD SINGER:

Phil has been playing music professionally for over 20 years, both as a soloist and as a member of various bands. Prior to joining Idlewilde in 2000, he performed with the western Connecticut-based classic rock band Livewire. His major influences are the Chicago blues harmonica masters such as Little Walter, Junior Wells and James Cotton, the songwriting team of Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia, as well as bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers Band and the Grateful Dead. Phil also enjoys performing as a duo with his daughter, Kelly. He also contributes original compositions to Idlewilde’s repertoire. Phil is currently working on new material for Idlewilde's next CD.
